Artist Statement
My piece is a portrait of a woman close up she looks very happy. The most obvious element i used is value and the most obvious principle i used is contrast.
I started by creating my piece by mapping out my piece, and then I added my shading and then finally I added my contrast.
My inspiration for this piece was they way the woman had a big smile on her face and to have a bit of a challenge. The emotion I tried to convey was a big smile showing her teeth.
My goal as an artist was to be able to capture her smile, her eyes, and the glow. I did not reach my goal because I could do better at getting the dark shades and the light shades, but also to get them arranged in the right spot.
By creating this piece I learned to find the dark values and the light values. Overall I do like this piece because it was a challenge for me and to get better at drawing. I will use what I learned as thus piece for future works because I could get better at dark values and light values on more faces, and cross hatching helped me with shading.
Title: fruits
Cross contour
My artwork looks like a fruit of bowl coming out at you. The subject matter is about different type of fruits. The principles in my art work that are more obvious is the speckles that I did.
The media of my artwork is made from a 3-d figure and too make it look more realistic. The tools I used was a sharpie to make contour lines and speckles inside the bowls and also for the shadow.
What inspired me to do this artwork was because It could help me challenge myself and see what I was able to draw. My art work does not show any emotions it was just an idea that I thought I could draw.
My goal as an artist is to make me believe more in my self and to get better at drawing pictures using all types of tools. This piece did help me reach my goal because I believe I will use this technique again in the future.
What I learned from creating this artwork was to be patient about my drawing to take more time and work on it at home. I also learned that this piece was a bit of a challenge to see where I am at if I improved or not but I believe I did improve ad that I am getting better.
Water color
Title: The cherry tree and the love swans
My piece looks like a beautiful lake with the sunset hitting over the water. The subject matter is a cherry tree going over the lake. The title of my work is two swans under a cherry tree that are in love. The most obvious element in my work is the cherry tree because its stands out a lot.
My artwork is made from watercolor. The tools I used to make my piece were a flat brush and a round brush. The process I used was a flat brush to do my wash, Know as a wash and the round brush was to do the details in my work.
What inspired me to do this piece was the attraction to the colors combining and the trees. My work expresses love and that we will always wait till love comes our way. The emotions I tried to show in my art work was happiness and love.
My goals as an artist is to get better at water color because I believe I would use this technique again when I am older to make beautiful painting like the one I made today. This piece did help me reach my goal because I had gotten better at drawing and I didn't need as much help as I did in the begging of the projects before this one and I believe in my self more.
What I learned in creating my piece was that it takes time because if you do everything in a hurry it wouldn't look so good and the color wouldn't look good. My final piece is what I did imagine because it came out much better then the practice one I did. This will influence me to continue working with art and to continue creating things that are a bit challenging for me.

Foreshortening
Title: Chess Club
My art work looks like a colorful and beautiful drawing of a chess board. The subject matter is a chess board. The title of my artwork is the chess club. The element in my artwork that are more noticeable is the banner and the streamers.
My artwork is made of prisms . I used cross hatching one the chess bored to make it a bit darker and blended the prisms to get the girl color tone correct.
What inspired my artwork was how close up the hand and board was so I thought it would be cool for me to draw this picture. My artwork does not express any issues or feelings it only shows a girl playing chess. The emotions I tried to show in my artwork was a girl having fun.
My goals as an artist is to continue working on more projects like these and to get better at drawing beautiful and more difficult pictures. This piece did help me reach my goal because I have more confidence in my self.
I learned that it is not hard to believe in something you can do all you have to do is try and try till you believe in your self. The final piece is what I imagined except I put a little detail myself. This piece will influence me to do more drawings and to keep working harder.

Title: The beautiful lono
My artwork looks really pretty and very designed. The subject matter was clay and working with new tools. The title of my work is called the beautiful lono. The element more noticeable is the expression in her smile while holding a baby.
My artwork is made from clay. The tools and technique was pinch method and molding I also used clay tools to carve out clay and create the cool designs.
What inspired my artwork was the story behind the tiki and how they were the god of mother nature. My artwork express that people can get pregnant but that also some don't have the chance and some lose there baby during pregnancy. The emotions I tried to show in my artwork is that if you cant have a baby you will always carry a family member as a kid of your own.
My goals as an artist is to continue practicing and working more with clay and more medias. This piece did help me reach my goal because im willing to continue on practicing more with clay.
My final piece is what I imagined because I was imaging what it would come out and how will it look. This piece will influence me in other artworks because I was able to know the meaning and describe the meaning behind my artwork.

Title: Rose Bush
My art work looks like a short brush stroke technique with different patterns and color. The subject matter is acrylic paint and short brush strokes. The title of y work is the rose bush. The principle of my art work is pattern.
The media y artwork is made of is acrylic paint. The tools and technique I used was a paint brush and short strokes. And a lot of paint to create different styles.
What inspired my artwork was my mother because I know how much she loved flowers. My artwork does not show any expression in its self. I did not try to show any emotions I was trying to create short brush strokes for the flowers.
My goals as an artist is to continue practicing more art styles and practicing more on my own. This piece did help me reach my goal because I am understanding art more.
I learned different brush strokes while creating different brush strokes while I was creating this piece. My final piece is not really what I imagined because it does not have the things I wanted but it did come out good. This piece will influence me to work more on future art works after I continue learning new techniques.
Art Show
Title: A future
My artwork looks like a wall that is broken in the middle to represent that everyone should deserve a future. The subject matter is 3 flags with a broken wall in the middle with the saying " doesn't everyone deserve a future" . The title of my work is called a future. The element more noticeable is pattern.
The media my art piece is made from is Prisma color pencils. The technique I used was blending the colors together to make the bricks pop out.
What inspired my artwork was my idea was how people wanted to separate countries from the US without anyone getting a chance for a better future for the kids. My work does express a issue by showing that countries are getting forced out of the US when they just want a better life people don't know how life is in other countries. The element I tried to show in my art work was expression.
My goals as an artists is to keep practicing my drawings and keep expressing my ideas. This piece helped me reach my goal because I had gotten the chance to express something I always wanted to express.
What I learned in creating my piece is that we should never ever judge a country by there race without knowing what is going on. My final piece is perfect I imagined how it would come out and it did. This piece will influence other artist by being able to know they will be able to express there ideas or what they are feeling.
